My thoughts and gratitude for Mat
Though I may be biased since I run this business with Mat, I also feel like I've been his most challenging critic too so figured it was worth sharing the things I'm most grateful for him fixing, upgrading, and maintaining in our RV over the past 3 years!
When we first got our RV, we completely renovated the inside and Mat did all the heavy lifting with building multiple custom pieces for our living space including: wood counter tops, dinette bench, daybed with a "thunder dome" for our cats, storage steps, and probably more that I've forgotten about over the years since we change things often.
He's installed so many upgraded parts to our RV, that it'll honestly be really hard to ever sell our home when the time comes. Some of my favorite installations he's added to our RV include: ventless washer/dryer, combination microwave/air fryer/broiler/oven, propane stovetop, dishwasher, heat strip in our bedroom AC, skylight in our shower, rainproof exhaust fan, and a bunch of other small things that would be too long to list!
Again, I feel I have seriously high standards for good workmanship and it honestly started out rough when he first got started, but over the years of trial and error in our own rig plus working in the industry at multiple shops learning their best (and worst) practices, I feel like he's now one of the best repairmen and I'm so grateful to have his skills always at work in our fifth wheel.
I could go on and on, but the last thing I wanted to shout out about his skills is his keen eye for small problems that could lead to bigger ones if not addressed immediately and his persistence with all of the routine maintenance that comes along with owning an RV that they don't really tell you about on the sales lot. Honestly, I wouldn't know to do half these things that he does to keep our RV water tight and all the mechanics running smoothly keeping us nice and cozy in all seasons.
If you're looking for a skilled RV repair person, then consider hiring Mat, but if you're looking for a family man who will help you fix your RV like a good neighbor, then definitely hire him. 😉
P.S. I forgot to share how much I'm looking forward to building our family business together and showing our daughter all the tools of the trade. Added some pics for proof of Mat's patience with those who prefer to DIY. 😜
